Gazing over the beautiful mountain pastures with Monte Civetta and Monte Pelmo on the horizon is just stunning. Watch the cows graze, calm and serene, surrounded by nature. The aromas and flavours of local foods, farmed and produced on the doorstep are just waiting to be discovered!

The Malga di Laste, on the Col de le Casière, is an example of a brilliant family business. In fact, for generations, the same family has brought pure pleasure to the palate and spirit of countless guests.

Don’t miss the opportunity to take a short, scenic walk to a mountain farm for a tasting experience that couldn’t get more local.

The flavours and aromas of the cheeses, with their varying levels of maturity, are perfect with a piece of crusty local bread and a glass of good, full-bodied red wine. You are in the land of milk, bread and cheese – all the ingredients for happiness. 

Squash a piece of fresh ricotta between two pieces of bread torn from the loaf and let the mountain herbs entertain your palate, then the more mature cheeses tingle your tongue.

Back in the field, the grazing cows glance at you calmly. You greet them with a nod as if to thank them for having produced such delicious products and filling your belly with such good local food.

What To Bring With You

The mountain hut is easy to reach, so bring your appetite and a desire to taste fresh homemade products. We recommend that you bring your favourite blanket with you and lie down on a lawn for a moment of total relaxation!
